I can't seem to enchant anything. I keep getting "insufficient charge for enchantment" I have the soul gems, and everything. It worked the first time.

Maybe you have to fill the soul gem? I haven't done much enchanting, but when I do my soul gems are always filled... so maybe thats it

Not a big enough soul in the soul gem probably. If you ran around with a soul trap spell and just started trapping souls it could have trapped something as tiny as a wolf's soul into a grande soul gem or something lol.

The vendors that sell soul gems, sell both filled and empty gems. The first time it worked for you, it was probably a full soul gem. The easiest way to level enchanting is to get a whole load of empty soul gems and then run around soul trapping(spell or weapon enchant) on bunnies and deer and such. Then kill them. Once you fill all the gems enchant the crap out of all the crappy gear you have(daggers, fur hats, etc). It will take you a long time to get to 100.

Btw, smithing and enchanting go together VERY well. Especially when leveling them at the same time.
