Hey all, I am thinking that I want to join the Companions but I am not sure where to start the questline. Early early in the game some guys outside Whiterun asked me about it but, now knowing anything about them, I sort of ignored em and kept on going. Now I am thinking I want to do it but I am not sure where to go from here to start the quest chain. Any help? Thanks.

Go to Whiterun. Near the tree on the second tier of the city, there is a mead hall, it stands out, you can't miss it. Go up the steps to the mead hall and go inside. I don't remember exactly how I started it, but I'm sure that if you find the leader and talk to him, that's enough to start it. He's in the living quarters downstairs.

Join them. and please, don't be intimated by their "pack" like behavior. just sure you can dance with the alpha wolves.

If not already, just look for the building that looks like an upside down longboat, and don't worry about what you might find inside when you enter-.. You'll get used to it. Especially in places like Mead Halls!

Companions are a great pack.

Anyway, if you ever heard about something (in game) and can't find where to start, activate the quest (like: "joining the Companions") and it will give you a map marker to follow.
