My take on Skyrim: first 10 hours gameplay

Overall amazingly fun and addicting, can't stop thinking about it at work. That being said, there are some things I want to highlight that have stuck out to me during my first 10ish hours of gameplay over the weekend:

1. Perks are awesome: It may seem to some that they streamlined a lot of stuff but I feel that perks make up for it. The best part is you can really spread out your specialties due to how slow your skills level relative to the level requirements in the Perk trees.

2. AI could be better: During one random dragon encounter I was getting my butt kicked but the dragon randomly decided to attack 2 nearby giants who killed it in about 5 seconds. I still got the soul but I didn't earn it at all. Just one example.

3. Small yet significant interface/combat annoyance: When the cursor is over an npc who is even a little far away, it won't show the characters name/title (e.g. looking at a bandit). This may not sound like a big deal but as a stealth/archer character it svcks to sneak up on someone and not be sure if I should shoot or not. I usually end up saving and just walking up and seeing if they attack me, then reload and shoot them, but I feel I should not have to do this.

4. A lot of the cool utility spells were removed. They did a good job adding variety to the offensive spells but I feel the utility really adds for variation in gameplay for hybrid characters. This game seems to want you to just be a mage, warrior or rogue.

These are all just my opinions and i would love to hear some of yours

wow you made me realize the one thing I hate about Skyrim.

Skyrim really needs this, it's incredibly annoying to bow attack a friendly target that you thought you was a bandit lol.

#3 adds to realism i think. 9 times out of 10 its going to be an [censored] anyways. my first guy was an archer/assassin, and i killed indiscriminately.

yeah this is the only thing that bugs me, i have to save first then shoot my arrow then if its someone i don't wanna kill i.e a guard or an important NPC then i reload my last save etc
but yeah it should let us know when you target someone!
