Well, before I started the game I was thinking about all the complaints I've heard and specially the interface. First off, to my delight I could set the game to Ultra settings and I was amazed how smooth the game ran. I don't recall the last time I had played a butter smooth game with no POP UPS!! That's a big plus for Bethesda right there. I've heard some say Skyrim reminded them of Morrowind. Well, that's true. There are actually some details in the game that almost feel intentionally done to remind us of Morrowind. For example the moon at night; that really sums up MW for me. Lanterns that are very similar to Morrowind and the eerie barren landscape that echoes tremendously like MW. Now, the dreaded interface that many have proclaimed useless is actually for the most part, true. For me, it was not a matter of fonts, color, transparency, etc., it was more of a matter of not being intuitive across the board. During the char-gen the controls stopped responding and it was doing this repeatedly which was so frustrating. This is without a doubt a bug that will surely be fix in the first patch. Anyways, so far everything looks much, much better than Oblivion and even though they have gotten rid off many things that we are use to, this doesn't take away the overall beauty of the game.
In life, if we stop and look at things under a microscope we'll never be satisfied and we'll miss the whole picture. If we look at everything as a whole we can all be a happier bunch and,
did you actually think you were buying not only a perfect game but a perfect game that you personally hatched in the bowels of your mind?
