i thought they were going to improve the amount of arrows you recollect from targets at mo i only get 2-3 out of like 10

Yepp, same here, just have to live with it, guess its just to do as much damage as possible/ don't waste so many arrows.

There's a perk in the archery skill tree that does this, I don't know how effective it is though.
