Fewer Enemies?

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 10:05 pm

In Oblivion, I felt that there were a larger variety of enemies inhabiting the world. Skyrim has introduced new creatures, but as far as I can tell has removed all Daedra except for atronachs. Does anyone else feel this way? I don't really see it as a problem because the enemies included are great, but it was just something I thought about.

I haven't counted, but I keep running across more and more types of creatures and keep thinking how there's a wider variety here than MW/OB. Have you ventured into all the different kinds of dungeons? Like, there are dwemer constructs (in MW but not OB) and there are Falmer (which were way different than the graceful snow elves I had been thinking they were). But I haven't counted, it just feels more diverse.

i admit i would like to see the return of daedra and im sure most are gone. im not even sure if atronaches are truly daedra. i guess so. but yeah i just want daedra but as far as wildlife and creatures it sjust as diverse as ever. u have to realize that you are yet to discoveer all the different locations and environments in the game. some places i get sabre cats. other places wolves. some places i fight bears and horkers. in other places spriggans. i have run into mammoths. we have dragons. tons of diifferent things relaly. but the enemies this time tend to be a little more realistic in skyrim. in oblivion it wa slike every other enemy was a wisp or a troll or something magical. so in that respect yeah it doesnt seem as diverse but they have plenty of enemies. skyrim has less creatures and more animals.

One thing I've noticed is there seems to be an overwhelming amount of bandits roaming Skyrim. Must be tough competition around the highways... :D

Are we sure there are no daedra enemies? Because I ran into 3 travellers( vigilant o something). Apparently they roam the lands of skyrim to hunt down daedra

I think the big thing here is that enemies are much more divided up by region than we saw in Oblivion.

We have:

Wolves,
Sabre Cats
Bears
Giants
Mammoths
Horkers
Trolls
Falmer
Those bug things with the Falmer
Dweaomer Spiders/Spheres/Centurions
Drauger/Drauger Variants
Skeletons
Ghosts
Ice Wraiths
Spriggin
Hags
Dragons
Atronachs (flame, frost and storm (haven't seen storm, but I've seen images)
Dremora (rare though)
Skeevers
Slaughterfish (seen one at least)

And variations on the above.

Could be worse, we could have cliff racers.
