Hey guys,

As the post says, I'm wondering if I can cast my summoning skills anywhere for practice, or does it have to be near an opponent. Thanks in advance.

Has to be near an opponent. Also, WTH would you want to do this? Isn't part of the enjoyment having it level up due to your work? I could maybe understand cheating on your 2nd or 3rd runthrough I guess.

Edit: I assume you mean to level up when you say "practice." If not, disregard my response. You can cast these spells anywhere.

I summoned a familiar in Whiterun just standing by a shop... so, I'd say summon away!

Combat magic only skills up when in combat. There's an exploit for conjuration if you absolutely must cheese it. Cast soul trap on a corpse.

Thanks guys. I know a lot of you all have been wondering why I would want to do this.

I am coming from a destruction background (level 10) and am finding myself quite vulnerable. In fact, it makes me just want to run around and kill bunnies and foxes because I am the type of gamer that hates "dying". So I just wanted to up conjuration real quick before I went back out into combative situations.
