English Language DLC

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 1:07 pm

Hi,

I'm Nero and i'm from germany and playing the game on Xbox 360.
I have the german version of the game with german voiceovers etc and i'm loving it.
But i would love it even more if i were able to download a patch from the Xbox LIVE marketplace that allowed me to change the language to english.
I've seen that feature on Fable 2 and even though that game bored me in pretty much every other aspect, the english language DLC was pretty much genious.

Since i think Skyrim and any other TES game is best played in english, because the voiceovers are just way better and more fitting there, i would really love to be able to download a language patch like this from the XBL marketplace!

Mach dir keine Sorge.

Kurz gesagt, diesmal verpassen Sie gar nichts. :P

I won't use Steam because i'm playing Skyrim on Xbox 360, and i still prefer the english voices, so i'd still love to have a patch like this, lol

Same problem here, but I also agree that the german voiceover is actually pretty good. I'd love to see the English voices as a DLC sometime in the future.

Yeah sorry, Xbox here as well, so no steam ;)

i have to agree on that too, of course. compared to Oblivion where the translations svcked to the point that the guys who sold you houses told you the wrong prices, Skyrim is actually really convincing.
but i've watched the starting scene in english and german for example and compared them. the horse thief sounds way different in the english version. he doesn't sound all whiny since the 1st moment he opens his mouth, he just gets scared eventually in the english version. whereas in the german version, he sounds like a whiny crybaby from the very start. that's just one example where the english version just feels better to me.
