I can remap the "E" key but when I want to take or steal a book I cant after that key has been remapped.

theres a mod that will fix key binding, just google skyrim mods and look for top 10 skyrim mods

unfortunately some keys have 2 functions even tho it doesn't tell you and you have to use the new remapped key to get that action, thank consoles and the neat console interface we got for that one, they obviouslt didn't test keyboard and mouse play very well, if at all, especially dual wielding hotkeys.
