ive seen several dragons now and some have attacked instantly, especially on the way to where the way of the voice quest culminates etc,

ut often ive seen them out in the wild and they just circle around in the sky and no matter how much i shout or futily lob arrows into their general direction they just keep circling for several minutes and then seemingly get bored and fly off somewhere.

thats frustrating because im all pumped for a fight....... and, they run away??

any trick to it? or do dragons simply spawn in the air like this, but only certain points on the map lead to actual full on fights?

You'd have to hit it with a spell or arrow to get it to engage if it hasn't spotted you. The "surprise" dragon encounters seem frequent enough for me that i don't even give those circling dragons a second look.

very difficult to hit at distance as thet fly quite quickly and high. puts a pure melee build out of the equation. surely that cant br right? or must i just fire arrows randomly into the air in vain hope?
