There's even ants in the game! I'm playing around 30 hours already and just noticed them. So much details put in this game, it's just amazing.

I found some on a big tree stump when I first walked out of Riverwood, but I haven't seen any since. I had completely forgotten about them until now. I should start looking again. Thanks for those pics too, had no idea they could be on the ground. I assumed it was just on tree stumps.

I haven't noticed this yet... but mostly because I refuse to look at the ground. To me it looks like a very old N64 game (Xbox).

EDIT: I wonder if you can collect them? Or are they there for simple aesthetic purposes?

I wonder that too but..

I remember hearing something a few months back that if you drop an item from your inventory onto the ground, the citizens will pick it up and either return it to you or keep it for themselves... I have yet to see that happen. I dropped a large diamond in the midst of a town square, and nothing happened. :sadvaultboy:
