These horses needs grooming!

The most I like in an open world game is horses ( RDR) , here I do not want to own a horse as they are useless, hairy, bulky and ugly, sorry but this is what I think...

Sorry, but RDR's horses don't stand a chance in Skyrim. These horses are made for cold harsh weather and carrying heavy loads.

I'm gonna bet you've never seen a horse in a cold climate with a winter coat.

How the hell do you think a horse is going to survive in a climate like that without a winter coat?

I like Skyrim's horses. A lot. I think they're an improvement on Oblivion's by leaps and bounds. I even like the way they ride and disagree with those who say horse-riding is like driving a tank.

Spoiler
Anja is in love with "Queen Allie," the horse sold by Skulvar outside of Whiterun.

The horses are perfect. Just what you'd expect for the harsh, unforgiving climate they live in.

The horses are appropriate for the context loosk wise, but as for their usefulness... I don't really like them.

hehe, I don't know, the same way I can swim through an arctic sea dodging ice bergs in my cloth tunic, hop out, and then chomp down 30 potatoes and a few heads of cabbage.

Seriously though, I like the horses. I don't like riding them or using them to get around, but I like the way they look.

I am not very upset with how the horses look(though the textures look awful!), even sport horses grow big coat in the winter if you don't put a blanket on them so this is realistic. HOWEVER I am upset on how they move. And this is my only complaint so far on this amazing game. I own horses and I have been owning horses for 15 years now, both dressage and showjumpers, and the stable has heavy horses too; this is NOT how a horse moves. RDR did a good job on horse movement. They even put in lead change in canter.
As for less bulky and furry horses, I don't see why they couldn't have been in the game. Make them with less health and weakness to frost but faster as a bonus. And the player can choose what they want.
I bought a horse but I don't use it because of how it moves. It's such a shame, this is the most amazing game I have ever played...I was really looking forward to travelling with my horse...It would have added even more to the already amazing atmosphere.
