SSD over HDD for running Rage, texture popup is improved.

Hey guys, if you're willing to smack down nearly 100 bucks on an SSD drive, 60g would do me if it means faster loading, but as you can see in the comparison videos below by some nice youtuber, the game improves a lot, and it is the PS3 version, as one of the videos with the SSD running, Dan has a nice blue x in front of him to prompt the chat.

Im considering getting one myself, mainly because it improves loading and for future games too, even though its 60gb (the cheapest 80euros-give or take), though I can just change them over whenever I need to store more stuff.

So they force us to buy a new hard drive? Why not make a game that works out of the box.

Even though the PS3 version suffers from severe pop in it's not as [censored] up as the PC version, it's playable. But after 6 years of development and $60 spent being merely "playable" simply doesn't cut it.

I do agree with you though, we shouldn't figure out how to fix their game across multiple platforms, its disgraceful.

Wow the SSD videos look so much different from the 5400 rpm HDD. I have a 7200 RPM HDD and its a bit faster than the 5400 demonstration but not as great as the SSD. Wish they had an SSD with same size as my HDD (1 TB) but even then I could imagine the SSD's insane pricing..
