Wellspring- "The Exchange" hit register issue

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 3:32 am

hi all, I'm new to the forums and need to ask; is anybody else having a issue with side job "The exchange"? I aim dead on and it either does not register or it misses greatly. :swear: Its really annoying because that job really isn't that hard. I'm playing on a XBox 360 on "hard" difficulty. Anybody have any answers to this?

Thanks in advance

If you're missing by that wide of a margin it's probably because you're moving while aiming. That will take a huge toll on your character's accuracy.

But you should also notice that sniper jobs are naturally difficult in Rage because there are no aiming aids of any kind (like Halo, for example) and the bullets use per-polygon collision detection. That means you actually have to hit somebody to hurt them - you can't just aim in their general direction, pull the trigger, and expect a kill.

These are hard aim no moving shots. I would not post this if I was trying to blind fire. The shot directly in the cross hairs miss, thing is it doesn't do it all the time. I'll take the same shot the same way and it registers just fine and others I'll do back to back shots (not semi-auto) and it will miss.

Don't be too sure. If you have even a mildly loose left thumbstick like I do then your character might move slightly even if your thumb is at rest. It's really easy to not notice this, especially when you're looking down the scope on your rifle.

Anyway, I had the exact same problem missing the enemy snipers in this mission. All I'm saying is that a bit of patience and careful aiming paid off for me.
