Companion Move Forward

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 5:14 am

The companion's are such fail. They are great in combat and when I need some assistance. But they left their brain somewhere else. I don't know how hard it is to implement Companion Move Forward. My Companion, Lydia, keeps getting in my way. I want to move forward and into the next door and she just stands there. If I am moving forward, she should move forward without focusing on a position. No matter if she is in front or behind me she should move forward if I move forward.

Also Lydia nearly had me killed underwater. She was right behind me swimming and the corridor was kind of narrow. Next time I'm telling her to wait so I can do underwater exploring by myself. I was beginning to run out of breath and low and behold Lydia is right behind me blocking my exit. And she wouldn't move forward.

The companions are fail in everything other than combat.

Not really clear from your post whether you know this already, but if you sprint you can push companions and other NPCs out of your way (they'll get a little upset, but nothing major). Doesn't work if you're overburdened though, which can be really frustrating.

I shouldn't have to sprint and push them out of the way.

I didn't understand a word you just said, but I would like the Fallout companion wheel for Skyrim.

Basically I think Companions should be smart enough to realize their standing in the way and move forward. Instead of me manually having to get them to move.
