If you use Destruction-only or try to. You will fail.
Use more than that to succeed.
Destruction skill is fine.
Also, Spells are what do real damage, not your Destruction skill.

My main Necro Battle Mage focuses on:

Conjuration -Bound Sword, Summon Undead

Destruction- Runes and minor novie skills for minor health damage

Restoration - Healing, Turning Undead

Alteration- Stoneflesh, and all the like

I haven't really touched illusion because I never really liked it. And my own set up is working very nicely actually.

I can see why people are doing this though, with so little perks to choose they wanna focus on as little skills as possible in fear they will not complete the destruction tree by level 50.

Destruction is the mages main damage skill.

Well if you're going for a pure mage character, then yes, you'll want to check out the other schools, but what i've noticed is many people are just using destructive to supplement there melee classes.

False argument, no one has stated they only want to use or only use destruction. GO back to the shadows troll, we have more important things to do.
