Nope, it's not on Steam. But Thief and Thief 2 were both re-released 6 or 7 years ago. You should be able to find a copy for a fiver. Then it's just a matter of getting them running in modern Windows, which is almost the exact same procedure as getting System Shock 2 going.

ok thanks. damn getting system shock 2 was a challenge for someone as inexperienced with PCs as me, but so worth it. i never did manage to get the cutscenes to work though, just watched em on youtube. talk about immersion killer lol. and that annoying key binding glitch too.

may i ask who re-released em? as LGS was out of business then wernt they? [censored] i blame the people for not spreading the word about LGS games. imagine if they were still around today, imagine all the incredible games we would have. not all this simple crap.

Eidos was the publisher, so I believe they handled both the original and re-releases. I'd just get this collection, since the first two games are both great and the third is at least worth playing: http://www.amazon.com/THIEF-Collection-Project-Deadly-Shadows-Pc/dp/B0011EA24I/ref=pd_sim_sbs_vg_2

stupid thread is stupid.

Cutscenes are not your problem, NPCs dialog plot voice acting directing, etc IS. and Cutscenes can be done good or bad. You are just like the loser who never has a girlfriend and blames his lack of money, car or fitness.

You always must look at the core of things.

Don't be rude! i have studied Jeet-kune-do. (Jackie is more entertaining than Bruce)

Seriously though your attack on rindill was not neccessary.

I can deal with the odd cutscene, provided it's not (as has been pointed out) used as a crutch. Like... FF8 cutscenes were great; they emphasised just enough of the world, the characters and the story. FFXIII was comprised almost entirely of cutscenes; I don't want that.

And I hope Dishonored doesn't use takedown cutscenes. Or if it does, that they're less frequent than DE:HR or TES:V's. In an action game, I suppose they can have their place; but if you're going to use them, use them sparingly. They get annoying really quickly if you have to sit through them every five, or even ten, minutes.

Dishonored doesn't have takedowns or third person cover!

We are on the same level, good. Now read this http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1219242-a-dishonored-faq-from-arkane-studios/ the second to last Q & A.
This is THE game. Well it certainly should be.
