In my opinion..

...A lot of the quests feel really boring and generic compared to Oblivion. I loved in Oblivion (I'm currently playing Morrowind but it's on hold), when you had to break into someones house for a quest, or the one where you wake up in a boat Inn and it's after sailing away, or that Mages Guild quest where you had to take a walk up the road and then have a mini boss fight. Just a bunch of fun little things like that. So far, I've completed about fifty quests in Skyrim, and 90 percent of them are just " Go to this dungeon, kill all things in it, come back. "

For example, compare Oblivion's Fighters Guild to the one in Skyrim. In my opinion, Skyrim's Fighter's Guild's quest line was just so boring and repetitive compared to Oblivion's. Even the Dark Brotherhood questline was much less fun to do. (I will admit, though, the joining was waaaay cooler and creepier).

Anyone else think this?

Oblivion's guilds were HORRIBLE. It didn't even feel like you were a part of them.

Only passable one was the Dark Brotherhood, and some of their quests svcked as well. Only thing I felt after completing a guilds questline in that game was a vague sense of disappointment.

Your opinion is invalided the second you say Oblivion's guilds are better than Skyrim's.

I've yet to play Skyrim (what with school and all), but I find it hard to believe that the Companions could be worse than Oblivion's Fighter's Guild. I never got more than halfway through that particular questline simply because it was so uninspired. On the other hand, Skyrim's Thieve's Guild and Dark Brotherhood have something to live up to. I enjoyed many of the quests out of both (even if the DB was a bit anticlimactic . . . ).

I liked Oblivion's Thieves guild. Got bored of the fighters guild so I killed every member. Well, tried.

I LOVED the Fighter's Guild quests in Oblivion. I don't know why. I just felt like they were really fun. I hated the Theive's Guild, though. I'm really crappy at stealth. I heard it was awesome in Skyrim, though. I may try them out tonight.

Skyrims guild quests are garbage.

Could you offer anything more substantial than that delightful little morsel?

Haha, to each their own, I suppose. I might have to try and finish off that Fighter's guild sometime.

If Skyrim's guild quests are garbage, then there are no human words to describe how horrible Oblivion's are.
