Dual Wielding, and Archer

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 9:05 pm

So I have only played a little oblivion in my day. I was wondering what class should i be if I want heavy armour with dual wielding weapons (not daggers for god's sake, because i don't want to sneak around too much). As well as being a successful archer.
Should I concentrate on archery or dual wielding more? which would make me more powerful? thank you!

There aren't any more classes. If you want to use dual wield, heavy armor and bow, then use dual wield, heavy armor and bow. It'll sort itself out.

Just try to balance out the usage. It's easy to get your archery/sneak skill way ahead of one handed/heavy armor, or vice versa, if you lean on one or the other for too long.

Open with a sneak arrow, sneak shots with arrows are always easy, and then run at them and beat them dead with your one handers... simple.

Yep.. sure is. i am an Archer/Magi personally, I lay "Trap" Runes first, summon a companion, then sneak attack with my arrows. I love it.. My companion and my Conjure take most of the heat, while I rain hell down on them from a distance, and even if they do start in my direction, they usually get a nice rune (specialized depending on the enemy) right up their alley while I fire away.. Man I love Archery and this character build =)
