I've beat the game one and a half times now, i say that because halfway through on my first play through, after i logged out and came back everything was gone and it even makes me redo the tutorial, then it let me beat the game all the way through but when i logged on this morning all of my progress gold and items are completely gone again and it wants me to start tutorial again.. this is beyond frustrating because I've really been enjoying the game aside from the fact i cannot use the crucible or make any progress in collecting items, please explain what is happening, or if i should wait for patch. or anything?

tried the safe mode recommended below w/ no effects. id really like to make maps and stuff. trying again, playing through as caddoc and hoping an update might have got it by now, i don't know yet though.

I have the same problem but in Xbox 360...cant save the progress..in single player mode..it seems that don't recognize the harddrive

Wow. This is REALLY frustrating! I love this game, but it is completely broken when each time I boot up my PS3 and wish to continue the game saves are not read. The game thinks I'm playing for the first time. I decided to keep reloading the game and after the 8th time it found my game save. I played for a couple of hours and then shut down. Today I wanted to continue and it is not reading again. Tried to reload the game several times and it won't find my saved files. This is ridiculous.

I got this fix from ps3 site. Maybe it will help you guys.

?Go to the Game icon on the XrossMediaBar? (XMB?)
?Select Game Data Utility
?Find the game title
?Press triangle, then delete.

After deleting the game data, go into Safe Mode and select option 3 (Restore File System). The information below will assist you in accessing Safe Mode.
