Do warriors need to add stamina?

So about how many points do they require in stamina, and does it make a lot of difference? Warriors meaning *takes sword and whack*

...Warriors. Physical combat. Of course you need Stamina.

Stamina is quite important, actually. Many combat techniques, such as blocking and power attacks, rely on it.
Also, the higher it is, the faster it regenerates. 5% Max Stamina per second.

Additionally:
Carry Weight capacity = 250 + Stamina/2
The higher your Stamina, the more loot you can haul.
In general, I'll use 3 Stamina to 2 Health.

Hope that helps.

No, not necessarily. Now if you are wearing heavy armor, I would say yes. But wearing light armor is a different situation. My Orc has 200 stamina and used heavy armor and a 2hander, and was mostly always empty. However my dual wielding light to no armor wearing Nord hardly ever goes under half and runs far faster and longer than the orc. This is with just the base 100 stamina.

It really comes down to armor I think, heavy armor really seems to take a a lot more to do anything in.

It depends on how much you want to use stamina in the first place. If you intend to sprint at a target to get up close, block strikes with a shield and then slaming it in its face, and do a power attack when he's holding his shield up... then you need to invest in your stamina.

If you're just moving forward hacking and slashing, you can probably skip putting much points into it.

Get a grip people. Stamina is needed to do any damage. If you look at the stamina bar you will see it go down very quickly. You wont do any melee damage while its at zero even though you can still swing your axe. You need to keep your stamina bar up as much as you need to keep your health bar up.

You'll still do some damage even if the stamina bar is at zero if i remember correctly :)

very little and I cant to combo attacks when duel wielding with no stamina. use restore stamina potions the same way you use restore health potions and you will find things die much faster. Never fight with an empty stamina bar

Well i mainly put my warriors health up. But i like to do the power attack a lot, so stamina is handy.

At least with heavy armor and a two-handed weapon I haven't required much Stamina. A two-handed weapon does good damage even when you've run out of Stamina. But of course I still carry many Stamina potions and Ale. And I wear a boost Stamina ring.

I tried two builds ... one splitting health:stamina 3:1 and other 1:1 ... 1:1 wins. Dps>anything else. Was 1h&shield.

I'm level 40 and sit around 200ish stamina (maybe a little more, I forget). However, I also went into the Restoration tree and one perk there allows resto magic to also regain stamina alongside health when cast. Since I've got this spell I rarely have stamina issue concerns - not that they were a big concern without it. With around 200 or so you can get a good 4 or so power swings in with a two handed weapon which is generally more than enough to fell or stagger most enemies into Oblivion.

But the Restoration school of magic and that perk basically give you unlimited amounts considering your mana pool is high enough to use the heals often. I mainly now just focus on health, sometimes dumping a few into Magika.
