Link to C&C Generals 2, created a thread for future discussion when more news comes. I am personally very excited. :D

Generals was pretty fun, but as always i'll see how badly they screw it up before getting excited. Especially after C&C 4. Which doesn't exist :whistling:

That is my concern also, I did not enjoy candc 4 at all, but I loved generals. I'll still buy it but I hope it sticks to the style of the original generals.

I would love a slightly less American view on the factions. Probably not going to happen though.

Command and Conquer is dead to me. Please just let the series die EA before you debase it any more.

Edit
Fun fact, Victory Games is making it. Bioware has nothing to do with it, just a marketing label slapped on there to try and get it to sell. If they don't have any faith in it except to use a cheap tactic to try and get it to sell, well I think it's evident even they have little confidence in it. Not to mention Origins.... eugh.

I loved Gens and Zero Hour, and I long for the days of my awesome GLA-Toxin dominance. But to echo what everyone has said already, I'm skeptical. But again, there's plenty of potential....

Looks like EU is replacing USA as the western faction this time. Generals 1 ended with America regressing back to isolationist policies.

They just won't leave you alone... now they have a new stupid dumbed down command and conquer in browser format for the masses to play. Probably pay to play units. I expect another gross crap product like Command and Conquer 4, except even MORE [censored] and fractured because now you'll have to pay 25$ for a mammoth tank. Or 30$ for anti-mammoth tank infantry. For god sakes this is the company that's put a subscription services on TETRIS! They're charging 20$ a piece for a single piece in their roller coaster park game, and these are for basic parts needed to make things. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/12/14/browsenbuildnbash-cc-tiberium-alliances/

I hope there is still a brute force faction like Chine was. My strategy was to simply keep punching the enemy in the face until either my fist broke or their face caved in.

When it comes out I'll get it eventually. People can say whatever they want about a game they've never played, but it wont change my opinion about it.

Yeah, one Emperor tank with the propaganda speakers and two others with chainguns went pretty far most time.

I once had 27 nukes ready for launch at any given time and my base was 99 percent landmines.

I sure hope it lives up to the potential it claims. it better be if they have the sheer audacity to call it Generals 2. If it does not live up to the expectations, then heads will roll. garunteed. I am planning top get it as long as I do not have to install Origin to get it.

EDIT: i also had about 200 hackers. i was unstoppable.

I loved the old C&C games. Tiberian Sun mostly. I was making random maps one day and one got generated that had a huge impassable ravine in the middle with one side having most of the land and resources and the other having next to nothing. I used to see how fast I could beat the other team with a massive army.

I would build tons and tons of Juggernauts and Titans then have aerial transports take them across the ravine and decimate the enemy team :P

I used to love playing the C&C games, but I just can't anymore. I still like them ,but I love the RTS genre so much and now find all of the C&C games I have ever played way too simplistic.

I hate the fact that Bioware is doing it/Ea. Bah Humbug!
