So i took Lydia to a dungeon,nothing particularily difficult, with a few Dwarves etc - she has a genius idea of jumping in the way of one of my Ice Spikes dual charged.
Needless to say she is now an ex-companion.

I went back to Whiterun and bought myself the house so i could unload all the books i have been keeping. As i was purveying my new house i opened a door to the bedroom only to discover Lydia lying on the floor dead and naked...

How bad does this now look on me!!

I tried to pick her up and put her on the bed and... well... now it just looks even worse!

Is there anything i can do, like take her outside? or am i going to have to leave her in there and hide her under the bed or something..

Oh wow.

If you're on PC you can open the console with ~, select her and type "disable" to make her go away.
