Do you have a breath meter?

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 4:15 am

The issue was raised in the xbox 360 bugs forum.

I personally do not have a breath meter when I go into water. Is this a bug, or is this something Bethesda did intentionally? I haven't drowned yet but I've just kinda used a common sense measure of how long I can breathe.

I dont have one, neither does anyone else. It's just how it's supposed to be.

And yes, common sense is indeed needed.

It's that little red bar at the bottom of your screen which starts out full and very gradually depletes as you drown, but starts to recover when you reach air again.

To be honest, I really do think they should patch this into the game. It just feel very odd to not know how long my character has held her breath. It actually breaks immersion for me because there's no "feedback" indicator as there would be in reality.

tbh it svcks.. i mean there are very few action bars... lets say i drink an increase stamina for 60s potion it does not show an action or time delay bar for this.

In fact this is one of the things i hate about this game, its the lack of information... personally i prefer the Oblivion HUD and the more informative menus.

No breath meter fails. Limited HUD's fail.

Yes, but you can't fight my statement.

It's how they intended it to be. It's not a bug. :toughninja:

Nah... I wasn't really complaining. I don't really mind. It doesn't break immersion because well, like Sten said, you just use your common sense.

I know, but.. this game feels rather dumbed down dont you think?.

You cant even see your warrior or mage or whatever in the menu option when selecting armour, or just having a good look at what you have created.

Is that your definition of 'dumbed down' ? If anything, it's "brained up".

If its brained up, then its not finished. The layout feels and looks empty.

THIS and a few other changes would be much welcomed.

Sure, sure. But it's certainly not 'dumbed down'. If you think it is, maybe you should try another game.

And the link, photos etc are slightly unrelated to the OP.
