Does carry capacity affect speed?

Does this system still work like Oblivion's? They less weight you had on you, the faster you were.

I'm not 100% sure as I haven't played OB in a while but I don't think it worked like that. Pretty sure you moved just as fast regarless of how much you were carrying.

In Skryim it appears to be the same, although the weight of the armor you are wearing, i.e. light vs heavy will affect your speed (may have been the same in OB).

I think it does, possibly not as drastically. But I feel my Warrior Nord moves a little slower when approaching his load limit.

I think it does, i noticed that my character moves a lot faster in the beginning of the game, than toward the end when i carried around a bunch of stuff.

Getting a lot of conflicting reports here. I'd like to know for sure so I can decide on either the Steed or Lord stone for my warrior.

Also, how does The Lord stone work? what does 50pts damage resistance do? Is that 50pts of damage off of every attack?

I'm gonna bump this and have no regrets about doing so. Sorry it's not another thread complaining about Destruction.
