The big fat fiasco

It's an older video, but after watching the movie fat head i decided to watch this 5 part presentation on why saturated fat is in fact good for you.
assuming he isn't lieing wherever he is making the presentation ( assuming its a highschool or college library) it should be surprising to the average person.
i'l leave the link to part 1 here, after watching all 5 parts i recommend people do their own research and think about it.
want more watch the movie "fat head" on netflix or something

I eat whatever I want. Not once have I cared what kind of fat was in it and im healthy as a horse.

Moderation is key.

No, PVP action is key.

I tend to wait for this sort of stuff to get filtered through the peer-reviewed journals.

As long as you excercise - diet is irrelevant really. I tend to eat awfully, but since I exercise I'm fine.
As to whether saturated fat is healthy or not - i'll leave that to the biologists to forever discuss and never conclude upon.
Like you say - i'm sure in moderation nothing is too bad for you.

Meat has been a staple of human consumption for millenia, and the animal products we consume are high in saturated fats. The human body is habituated to its consumtion and is therefore able to digest it effectively. So no, saturated fats aren't evil.

The problem with modern diets is fixation on minutia. They often hone in on one tiny component of the diet as good or evil, and try their darndest to get us to eat more or less of that one thing. As people have said, a wholistic, balanced approach to diet is healthy.

(That being said, there are some things in this age of heavily processed foods that our bodies have NOT had the chance to adapt to yet, like the massive amounts of refined foodstuffs we can sometimes eat. Our eating habits have outpaced evolution, and it's not surprising we're seeing health effects because of it.)
