iPhone Ringtones

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 9:16 am

I got an iPhone for Christmas, and I want to use some of my music as ring tones, for free of course. I already know you have to make a 0:30 AAC version of the song you want. Where I get stuck is when I go to convert the file to a .m4r format. I don't even have the option on my computer. I am on an administrator account, and I'll provide a http://i39.tinypic.com/1zp6rls.png. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Basically just rename the file from .m4a to .m4r.

That's the problem, I don't have an option to rename that file.

You can't rename the file or you can't change the file format? Can't change the file format by right-clicking on it and renaming?

Go to your control panel>Folder Options>View tab>untick "Hide extensions for known file types".

Ok I've gotten the ringtone into my itunes library, but after I sync my iPhone, I don't find the ringtone on it. I checked "sync all ringtones", so I'm at a loss.

Edit - Nevermind, I got it working.
