RAGE GAMEBOOK

So I read the book and I'm pretty much at the point in the game where I am in the book. At subway town. Does anyone feel that the game should have been a little more reliant on the game in terms of dialogs and character relationship.

For example - Halek was an A**hole in the book but here hes a happy shop keeper and has dialogs that takes you away from the fact that life svcks in the wasteland. I can understand Dan Hagar being nice to you at points in time but everyone is just too nice to you in wellspring at the get go.

AND I had the funniest experience, there was one of those flying authority sentries moving around and I was passing by it. At this point an NPC walking along looks at me and say's something like "You arc people should be more careful around the authority" I was like WTF NPC there's a drone right there.
Nothing happened but that NPC was dike lol.

Anyway anyone else feel the game should have borrowed more from the book in terms of character relationships and conversations.
