Troll reviews?

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 2:05 pm

http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/user-reviews?dist=negative

How are these allowed exactly? The majority are just "blam blam blam i didnt like this" "blam blam blam this wasnt very good" "blam blam blam game is buggy" pfffff...metacritic is in some SERIOUS need of moderation.

I can understand some complaints, but in no way does Skrim deserve to be scored 0 or 1. Myself as a game I would score it an 8.

The fact Skyrim has 8.5 is record on metacritic, considering 1.7 of MW3(Well deserved TBH!) or 7.5 of Battlefield 3

No STATS. No character doll. Stupid consolish interface. Outdated DirectX9 engine. Lot of low-res textures. Sometimes funny psychics. Combat is dull and simple. etc. etc.
This isn't even a review and 8 people said it was helpful -.-

Did you notice the majority of those bad reviews were from the 11th when it is impossible for anyone to have actually reviewed the game unless they were a journalist, who wouldn't be putting their crap on metacritic anyways...

And many of the positive reviews are just "blah blah blah beautiful, blah blah blah fun."

You linked the PC version...is it any wonder that a lot of people would have negative comments towards the game with so many technical/optimization issues? Some people can't get above 20 FPS or get constant crashes. They're entitled to be unhappy about a game they paid $60 for which hardly runs.

Most of those were written on release day and from reading a couple i can see that it seems to be all PC users who's game is either crashing or not running great for them.

Which obviously means if they can't play then they will be on the internet complaining, while the vast majority who love the game are busy playing.

I my self am a PC user and did experience crashes on release day but changing sound settings fixed that and while i do still get the random crash it is not unplayable for me.

The best part about the negative reviews is that even in an incredible game like Skyrim if there is a glaring problem that should've been addressed the negative reviews will abound and give it a 0 because of that issue.

I read like the 1st 10 reviews there from your link.

I enjoy the game but find a lot of what they say correct. Graphically this game is abyssmal and it is a horrible HORRIBLE job of making it a proper PC game. If liked second rate games and graphics I would be a console player. I'm not, I expect more from my games.

I don't agree on the storyline and quests etc, that part of the game is enjoyable. I just wished the UI was more PCish and the graphics were better, and for gods sake, fix the crashes.

Metacritic is nothing more than a "Troll" review site for the most part.

People go and purposely rate things 1 or 0 just to bring down to overall average.

8.5 is an extremely high metacritic user score.

Who cares about the user reviews anyway? ;)

1. Do you enjoy the game
- If yes: Awesome! Carry on doing that
- If no: Why do you care about the review score then?

2. ????

3. PROFIT!

OT: But Out of the Park Baseball 2007 second highest rated game of ALL time? like wtf! and user rating for that game was a solid 3.7 or something lol.

Shows how much value these kinda sites have when push comes to shove.

EDIT: To the guy above saying this game looks like crap on the PC, next time try playing it on a proper rig instead of your microwave clock maybe? You can say a lot about this game but sure as hell not that this game doesn′t look drop dead gorgeous on a high end rig with the proper settings.
