Is this a good price to sell my xbox 360 for?

Hi,

I apologize. I know this isn't the correct place to ask this but I don't know where else to ask....

But is this a good and fair deal for my Xbox 360, I am selling this package for a total of $85:

- Xbox 360 (20 gb, the white one). Comes with all cables. *small damage* The doors on the Memory Card port and the controller port are broken and they will not close automatically as they are stuck open. However, they both work perfectly fine.

- 1 wireless controller. (Minimal damage, the rubber on the left joystick has wore off but again it's working perfectly).

- NBA 2k11 (Comes with manual and MJ cover)

- Xbox 360 Transfer cable kit.

I tried selling it to gamestop, and all they were willing to offer was $20 and I said eff that lol. But in any case is $85 a fair deal due to the minimal wear and tear?

Thanks!

Depends on when the xbox came out.... if it's a first gen, just throw it away. Gamestop will give you 20 bucks, but they'll charge a stupid amount and some poor person will buy it.

what will happen : RROD..... followed by being muted by a microsoft associate while they get their laugh on before telling the caller that the system is too old for any kind of warranty!

You might not be able to get that much out of it with it being damaged.

Gamestop will give you more than 20 dollars.

Right now for the original white 360, it is 45 dollars. The hardrive is about another 5.

NBA 2k11 will net you about 8 or so (sports games do not hold value at all)

The transfer cable probably about another 5.

So all in all, roughly 65 dollars in store credit (unless your gonna stop gaming, get the store credit. Cash is worthless to give out for any used game shop.)

EDIT: Noticed you said it was damaged. They may charge you a refurbishing fee.

You should easily get that, to be honest. When I got my new 360, I sold my old one on ebay, and it didn't read discs (of course, I put that in my ad, so no one got ripped off). My broken 360 sold for $65 in total. It was a 20GB white fat model, without a hard drive included. I would try ebay to try and get the most out of it, to be honest or craigslist.

I'd give you a shiny nickel... maybe a grimy dime.

If you get $85 you're doing pretty good!

I'd give you 50, but you can keep the game.

Might be hard to sell that for too much. I can see you maybe getting around fifty by selling it online, but that is it. People are looking into the newer xbox's now that their cheap, being that they have much less of a failure rate, and come with much larger hard drives.

So yeah. Gamestop would be ripping you off a bit, but I wouldn't be expecting all that much more by selling it elsewhere.

Thanks guys! I will probably sell it on ebay for $50 minimum and see how much I get. Not worth selling it to gamestop for a mere $20, i'd rather keep it than sell it for that much cause they're probably gonna charge a refurbishing fee of $10 or so... Looking forward to playing skyrim on slim :D
