I wanna move thing around my house, how? I'm on a 360 and ps3, i'll assume they use the same button layout, anyone help me?

Press and Hold "X" on Ps3 and I would guess hold "A" on Xbox while aiming at what you want to move.

You can only move things that you can Take

for the PC it's the same button as the "USE" button, except you hold it down.

Use the button that you usually use to pick things up, but hold it for a second instead.
Don't know about the consoles, but on PC at least if you shift items around, it seems to reset their position to where you first dropped it once you re-enter.
