Something went terribly wrong in the development of this gam

I just finished the game and It's quite apparent someone over there walked into the offices and yelled "Stop what you're doing and finish this thing up right now! Let's get working on that DLC!"

..Worst ending ever, I mean..it's not even an ending.

Terrible launch aside, I quite enjoyed the game after the yawner that is the first 1-2 hours of the games introduction, I must say the middle has some truly amazing visuals and level design and is a lot of fun.

For the 20 some odd gigs of required space, this game is quite short lived, let's hope it doesn't take them 6 more years to put out some content for this game.
You already have my $59.99 for the first helping Id, how much will you be charging us to see a real ending to this game in the form of DLC?

I feel as If Id brought us out our drinks and an entree, but our meal is still being cooked in the back..

Edit: Spelling is hard.

Its an id game and you're lucky they had any plot, characters, and story at all. Trust me, compared to all their previous games this one Shakespeare.

I do wish there were some bosses or large waves of enemies, but story wise the game was fine. Why spend time on making the story of an FPS amazing when you can make everything else more amazing. I have already spent 34 hrs playing so I have gotten my monies worth. I can wait to get my hands on idStudio tho

I waited this game for very long and when it came out I bought it on release day for PC... only to see it didn't even start. After 2 days of tweaking with it (thanks to the community)
I got it running decently on my system. I enjoyed the start of the game pretty much and the Dead City part was the the hightest point the game ever got to, after that it started to go down and
all in all when I had finished the game I have to say I was disappointed. Rage delivered some awesome levels and shooting, but I was expecting much more.
Rage had very interesting elements, but these were all half-empty, half-finished, I couldnt help but to think I wasnt playing the actual game but something of a show what certainly isn't finished yet.
(Beautiful show here and there nevertheless)
I played on nightmare and never ever had any problems finishing the game, I probably used 2 or 3 bandages in whole game and felt like I had unlimited ammunition - certainly not what I expected from Nightmare.
So difficulty is yet another issue, it should be definitely harder. Why have a crafting system in game when it's not really needed, because in Rage it so shallow that in my
opinion it shouldn't have been even implemented. This is just one example of things left undone or done half-assed. Anyway the thing what really really let me down was the tunnelrunning in general, before launch I was led
to believe in an open world, but in reality this is just an illusion which breaks almost in the first minutes in the game. What I mentioned before, Dead City was really beautiful and atmospheric, but very linear full
of invisible walls and rubble you couldnt jump over and list goes on... these things broke the immersion for me. Also you had to play some levels more than once on different missions. Overall I was impressed what the engine
is visually capable of, biggest letdown for me was the very linear game itself, even the old shooters are not this linear. Just my 7/10

I've enjoyed ID games since DOOM, I consider this just a big mis-step on their part... and I almost wish I had pirated this first before paying full price on launchday.

RAGE = AN ENORMOUS WASTE OF POTENTIAL!!!
