From what I remember, the first dlc was to be here 3 days after the release... So where is he?

umm... if he said it then give a link. but yeah this game is huge and Three days is definitly not enough time for me to experience what it has to offer. whenDLC comes out ill still do it before getting the whole game done which is close to impossible lol. MASSIVE

I don't recall hearing anything about how soon DLC would be coming out. But I'd assume they're focusing on fixing up the base game before adding any extra stuff. If you're on Xbox, at least you'll get it 30 days before the rest of us. Enjoy being a beta tester. :ninja:

When DLC is released it will be released exclusively for the XBO360 for one month before it is released for everyone else.

Which is a very bad system marketing wise. Because while people on the other consoles and on the PC will still buy DLC when it becomes available, bethesda will lose alot of credibility from those users and will have a lot of unhappy players when the 360 players will obviously gloat and post spoilers everywhere on the internet.

It's Bethesda's own fault, negotiating that deal with Microsoft.

They should have just said "No." but they were too concerned about the $$$ they'll get with console sales to turn them down.

The game has been out for 5 days.

Pretty certain you haven't done absolutely everything to warrant starting on a DLC.

Sorry, and this will probably come out in a tone that's worse than I intend, but, does that make you feel better about yourself? Does it help to salve the (pain/disappointment/envy/general bad feelings) you feel knowing that you have a longer wait for DLC than Xbox players? "Enjoy being a beta tester," is snarky. Why do you need to tear down someone else's enjoyment with your mean spirited commentary?

The gaming industry isn't exactly going through a great period right now but it's not gotten so bad where "downloadable content" for every game is released, at extra charge, within a week of the games initial release.

I don't know, as a PC user, I don't really care.

For one thing, PC players are going to be playing the game a lot longer than the XBox crowd because we're going to be using mods to extend our enjoyment of the game. People will still be buying the PC version long after every DLC has come out.

For another, the DLC are usually something of a rip-off for a PC user, anyway.

I mean, Bethesda's first try at DLC became synonymous with "not getting your money's worth out of a DLC". So, basically, you could spend $5 on having a new texture for your horse and 500 extra horse hit points, OR you could download a free mod that lets you replace your horse with a ridable bear, dragon, flying pirate ship, etc. Which one is cooler and more enjoyable, and oh yes, also FREE?

I actually bought the Frostcrag Spire one, but then used mods to upgrade it because it wasn't to my taste, entirely... and some of the house mods included things like that lovely extra-dimensional wallless, roofless "house" that floats in a void that you can teleport to in order to use its storage bins at any time, which felt FAR more thematically exciting than Frostcrag.

I'll get a DLC that actually adds something interesting to the game, like a largish quest line like the Knights of the Nine did or some new functionality, but otherwise, mods are going to be far more interesting to me.

If someone is truly offended by a simple joke such as that (Even if that joke has some element of truth. Just look at the bugs the base game has.), then I'd say they need to develop a greater resistance to such jokes. Regardless, I don't mind waiting for paid DLC that I may not buy for a while anyway. I'll have free user made mods (PC here).
