Whenever I play RPGs even without heavy deathcosts or anything I save way tooo much I feel like. Im level 11 on my Bosmer now with 17 hr 44 mins played and I have already reached 140 saves. I feel like I will reach 999 too early xD. Or will it just reset back to 001 maybe?

How often do you guys save?

I save after I kill someone
After I cross a river
After I kill an animal
Before I walk up to some place that looks suspicious
After I have been walking for 5 minutes and I feel like something and bound to attack me
After I commit a crime and get away with it
Before I attempt a crime
Before I take a quest
After I take a quest
After an auto save
Before I talk to someone
After I talk to someone
Every time a stat increases
Every time I level up
Before I enter a cave/dungeon
Every time I manage to sneak in a better position to snipe people from

But I never like go back and load these saves even if I don't like the outcome of something I did. Don't know why I save so much.

Protip: F5 makes a quicksave.

I have about 3 regular saves and quicksave.

1. Regular save before customizing my character in the introduction.

2. Regular save before a major decision point that will take a while to resolve.

3. My current "regular save" when I stop playing.


Otherwise, I just quicksave.

I quicksave before I do almost anything interesting in the game, and especially prior to zoning -- game crashes when I zone about 10% of the time.
