For purposes of role-playing as an Orc, particularly in making a decision to join either the Empire or Stormcloaks, I was just wondering if anyone could fill me in on any significant Orc history - particularly recent events (say the last 50-100 years). I've tried to find stuff but all I get is very general information... anyhow, thanks for your time!

bump - I'm also interested in orc history, having only played oblivion from the series I am interested. It's too easy to assume orc lore from other titles.

Would be cool to find out some Orc history. As far as I know not all but a big number of Stormcloaks are rasist to non Nords. So you been an Orc means that it might not be the best thing to join them. The Imperials are the ones that want to fight together as one, meaning all Orc, Redguards, Imperials and so on would be all working together.

If you are looking for recent history, like the time inbetween Oblivion and Skyrim, then the only place you will find it is ingame. Talk to NPCs and read books. The best place to start would be the Orc strongholds.
