Shop coin and selling items

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 4:30 pm

When in the world do shop begin to have more than 500-700 gold on hand to buy my things. I am level 19 right now and in order to sell off my inventory i have to visit multiple city's. You know how old that gets, traveling around and then waiting for the shop to open all of the time.

I am really sick of it. minimum i have to visit 3 towns or city's to sell off my inventory. Dose thins change at all later in the game?

There's also a perk that allows you to sell any item to any vendor. This may allow you to visit fewer cities, as you can sell your swords to the innkeeper.

I THINK I also read something that said your speech skill affects this too, as vendors will increase the amount of money they are willing to give you, but I can't find it again.

If you look in the "Speech" skill tree, there is the ability to "buy into" a shopkeeper, and he'll increase his "available gold" permanently - which won't prevent him from running out, it'll just have THAT shopkeeper with more money. You can wait outside their shop for 3 days and they'll reset their stash, but I don't like doing that.

Also in the "Speech" skill tree, if you want to grind to it, there is "Master Trader" upgrade (last upgrade...) that gives every merchant in the game 1000 extra gold for bartering.
