RAGE does revolutionizes in artistic design and animationai

It might be ahead of it's time but one day perhaps when all content is streamed Real-time from a farm of CPUs rendering amazing worlds, is when people will see what a watermark technology id created here.

The enemy animation and ai is truly revolutionary, no other game have I seen a system that is so satisfying and varied as each time you shoot something. They nailed it and other fps games in the near future will be compared to it, in my eyes anyways.

Say what you will about how RAGE plays, but iloved re visceral experience of the game and that is ids signature. New fans or others feeling disappointed with what RAGE is I get it, I think the game sets itself up for much criticism because it tries to be many things. I appreciate that Id is trying to branch out and they might have not nailed all the new elements they are known for but they didn't do a bad job IMO. But for pure fps gameplay,I haven't seen RAGEs equal in a long long time.

I think of Rage as id's playground for their new engine and ideas. They spend so much time and effort on so many little innovations as well as the engine that I can't wait to see what Doom 4 looks like and plays like running at a more modest 30fps.

I would like to qualify myself a bet: I can remember when I was young, don't know how old I was and my dad working for IBM, and one day he brought home a console that had Pong on it. After that I remember playing Link and many, many other games on many different systems, now I only play PC games. With that being said, I agree with SwanSong, but at the same time I am really confused at all the negativity and polarized views surrounding this game.

I have seen so many crappy games out there that I have payed good money for, and wonder how, how on Earth could anyone put the game out on the market and ask money for it, Rage IMO is not one of those. I have been playing this game since it first came out and been having a blast with it, that's not to say it doesn't need improvement "what game doesn't"?

I could say all kinds of good things about the game and some bad, but I would be only be repeating what others have said, that have approached the Rage with a open mind and took there time to really play it.

The bottom test of the game is? is it fun to play?

If its fun to play then all the bad stuff doesn't matter very much!!! As long as it doesn't interfere with the game play.

If the game is not fun to to play, then all the good and bad doesn't matter anyways. so I just move on to something else!

I think this is one of the greatest FPS that I have ever played, even with the problems! And I hope in time others will view it the same way.

Thanks again ID

I don't even want to imagine what they can do with this engine when the new generation of consoles/pc hardware comes out. *Salivates*
