Games on the xbox live marketplace that you can't buy? -_-

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 10:23 am

So I recently got into watching an anime called Naruto, watched all episodes of Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden over the past 3 weeks. I know there are video games for the series, the latest being Ninja Storm 2 I believe, and I hear it's actually pretty good. I didn't expect them to have any Naruto games on xbox live, but I'd figure I'd check it out, and it turns out they have two Naruto games in their 'marketplace' the first being Naruto: The Broken Bond, and Naruto: Ninja Storm 2.... But to my dismay you can not purchase either of these games, even though they are in the Marketplace. there is a demo for Ninja Storm 2, but you can not buy either of the two games on the xbox live marketplace even though they are listed. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that a marketplace is a place to purchase things, yes? Not to mention that every single other game that I've looked at in this game marketplace is buyable -_- /endrant

Most full games are in the Games on Demand or Arcade section. There are lots of games in the marketplace that just exists to show off screenshots, trailers etc.. which IS dissapointing at times.

Most game listings on the marketplace do not include the game itself, just a demo and dlc. I think you are getting confused with the On Demand or Arcade section, which does include full games.

Theose games are for sale on disc, the point in them being in the Marketplace as of now is to give you a taste of what the full game is like - the reason the demo is there - and to sell you other content like themes and gamerpictures.
Once the game gets old/popular enough they will move the game data into the Games On Demand section which will allow to to then buy the full game from the Marketplace.
Patience, it will come, though you'd probably be cheaper buying it second hand.

The games on the marketplace were always ridiculously expensive. I don't know if its the same now but I wouldn't recommend buying from Games On Demand. Like Fern said, buy it second hand.

All of them, because I don't like Microsoft Points system.
I Always end up with extra points or not enough points no matter how I plan my purchases so I just never make purchases.
