3d Map - Nice Thought but...

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 12:17 am

I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I find the 3d map really hard to navigate with

That is literally one of the only things I found obnoxious.

What are your feelings about this?

It looks pretty. It became much easier to deal with once I added this to my .ini

I don't mind the map. Seems more or less the same as navigating the Oblivion map, except it looks more flashy. The skill menu on the other hand...

What bugs me most about the map is the lack of roads. Other than that, it works fine for me (though because of my bad computer, I would like something a bit simpler, graphics-wise!).

The map would have been fine for me if I could zoom out of it all the way up until I can see everything on a single screen. I also found myself searching for the quest icon in the corner way too often it should be more obvious, or of a different color. Still it's probably the less bothersome part of an overall failed UI.

its not my favorite map. but it is pretty cool. There is a mod that allows you to zoom all the way in, its not a scale model its actually the gameworld. Its pretty neat.

I think I decided the map svcks ass when I used my mouse wheel to try and zoom in on a mountain and find the road leading towards the top....
And it literally moved the map one inch closer to my screen.

Since then I've just accepted it and I don't really use the map much at all, except to check for my quest markers.
