Stealth. . . blech

I sarcastically love stealth to begin~

I just love when traveling with companions that when I initiate someone with my bow in stealth that they run in with their battlecry and disrupt my stealthy..ness. (Edit: There's some instances where you're forced with a companion, such as the companion quests where the only options available to you are speach and no direct orders. This is for the individuals who don't read future posts but only this one. I know about the wait here command.)

I also love archery and how the world in this game seems to be so obtuse that when trying to fire past a thin pole, my arrow gets stuck in midair a foot away from the pole.

Yep... Love it.

You: "Wait here"

Bit of a question... if you want to be sneaky, why bring a companion along? From an RP perspective, anyway, the more people in a group, the less stealthy the group is and the more likely you'll get caught.

Besides, if your companion rushes in, they see your companion, not necessarily you (from what I understand, I tend to go solo), so you can still hide and sneak attack them. [[someone correct me if I'm wrong]]

A true warrior of the night travels alone. I do not take a companion with me anywhere.

Assasin/rogues are more solo imo. But yeah, have your companion wait back if you see a group you want to take out. Also, the arrows seem pretty realistic to me so far.

As far as I know, that quest which involves hunting down werewolf hunters. You're required to have her along and she doesn't allow you to tell her to "Sit here, Good Girl." Perhaps I should of been more precise in mentioning that.

Wow two people said almost the same thing as me while I typed up my last post. This forum is too quick.

Translation: I should start over from scratch and re-learn how to play my stealth class.

Absolutely!!! You can even use it to your own advantage!!! At a high enough sneaking skill you can let your enemies bash your companion, go behind them and backstab them to death.

The last two incidents involving arrows i had didn't make it seem so. Usually ending up in an invisible wall near the actual wall or bouncing off a surface when I clearly pointed above it. I just remember oblivion and morrowind never having this issue.

Either you're trolling or I can't tell, but how does my arrow getting stuck in a wall when it shouldn't have been make me bad at that class?

I've never considered stealth to be a group activity. I don't bring companions with me.

I've tried that approach... told Lydia to sit tight while I went after a certain foreign invader looking to hassle someone of the female persuasion. Maybe I left her too close to the action, but the sound of battle apparently roused her. She came running to my defense, despite my order to stay put.

Fortunately, she wasn't quick enough to get hit by my scroll of Fire Storm. The henchmen, however... :flamethrower:
