My turn for Opinion

Here are some more cons:

The character respond exactly as Morrowind character, its exactly the same engine, what changed is merely textures, using more advanced technique.
It have the same issue :
Only primary weapon, second

ary doesn t appear don t even think about terciary. Even if you have 1 handed weapon the bow disapear gods know why, the guy on this department must be Tod friends so he isn t booted.

Walking being an ever complaint from gamers of all platforms continue to be a crawling snail pace. For those who (like me) doesn t like to run like a beheaded duck or chicken its big big scratch on the RPG part.
I won t even mention, the perk part its was clear from the beginning that the PERKS would be inimaginative and deceiving, and the removal of attributes altoghether would generate a lack of customization.

I mostly agree
The combat is inferior to Oblivion no more but less, they only added the with-time-borring-because-of-overuse kill animations.
Blocking with weapon continue to be erratic, you absurdly can t block with one handed weapon or 2 weapons handers which is absurd, but we already knew that, the game has been designed over weapon and shield, that was why all the demonstrations where that way.
They could have added like in Morrowind slash right, slahs left up down and pierce, but they didn t even care, clearly this is a step back i would say prior to Arena, the combat in ARENA, DAGGERFALL, MORROWIND and OBLIVION was more interesting than in Skyrim.

I guess as well but nothing much an improvement actually seems pretty much the same Oblivion style with some finishng moves ala Fallout to me ...

The interface interaction for PC is crappy gameplay wise, talk about an excell spreadsheet with one column only. No quick swap no quick buttons, all features present in Morrowind, so again we get an implementation that is a fall back of 10 years gameplay wise.

Some features are clearly unachieved, like the Yielding, Yielding doesn t exist, its just a temporary animation so the NPC can have a small portion of its life back and fight to the death, theres no interaction with a yielding character. Many time i wanted to loot the yielding so he wen t alive but naked but there s no go.

Also Pad wise is not that comfortable , there is no journal to see what was said in previous conversation or a clearer explanation of the quests , the map 3d doesnt work m the clarvoyance is bugged , and there is no fast selection in the arrow buttons on pad , the UI interface is too scifi than medieval fantasy style oriented breaking a bit the imersion ....

As you sayd TODD and BETHESDA lied about many features in this game, and beyond the one above there s no dinamic weather, just the same screen with dots, and a white layer on stuff when it snow. Not even water when it rains. There s no PC designed interface, there s no DX11 a mere old DX10 marginally used, and the list goes on, like PC really can have worse GFX than console, when it was stated it wouldn t by TODD and PETE.
Clearly BETHESDA isn t a reliable company. Much bragging and few achievements.

Many complain this game is a glorified Oblivion, and unfortunaty its true, some aspect has been improved, a few worsened, but the shallowness of the progress is evident, apart from GFX and small features its exactly the same.

I didn't say that they lied , just that I couln't see those features I do not perceive any radiant AI like I have tried to reproduce what was told in the previews ....

Ok summing it up I think I can make a final verdict altough I did not yet finish the game :

The game is simply great but in its pursue of the best imersion experience for any player chose the oversimplification way wich ruins in effects the imersion and the rpg experience ....

So the Game is very good for
Graphically gorgeous , awesome new character creation ....
the art direction this time is superbe , the Voice acting , great , the quests very very good and realistic , also every dungeon is clearly well done and unique altough less detailed than expected , the perk introduction is a good thing and so it is the crafting , dual wielding , dual casting , finally dynamic shadows have been implemented and other things mostly related to imersion , atmosphere , music saundtrack all those aspect help the game feel solid and coherent with the setting giving the player sense of awe that was more present in morrowind than oblivion .... So the top point of this game is reached throught the atmosphere and dark fantasy look ....

The Game is not so Good for :

The overly done simplifications , elimination of attributes that brings to reduced interest in character creation in terms of rpg detail m and forces the player to have no jump or speed faculties for example very much needed for vampire , speed and jumps for werewolves... they feel tuned down in that ....
The elimination of many skills also is not that good , because they added a lot more complexity and realism to the game ... puting all weapons into one single category like 1 or two hand is just too much .. it ruins the realism , imersion and rpg experience ... weapons shoudl be divided into categories ... this is not only for combat but also magic and thievery .... other aspects seem to have been rushed like forgetting to put torches on sale , give horses also to the inhabitants of the region also merging the armours ala fallout style was a bad choice , altoguh they look gorgeous and its nice to have variations and improvements over the same type of armour , , splitting at least upper and lower parts and some other combinations in the crafting would have added a lot more fun like detailing armours with differnt deco , materials , pieces or parts of them etc... animations look good now but look detached from the environment and I guess this is something engine related ... probably a middleware like euphoria would make better animation blending ..... finally some of the scenery and items are now unpickable , this also ruins the imersion that makes you feel the world as realistic as you can only pick up "usefull" stuff and no more the junk .... also some items are just static ... more physic interaction with the items and the environment it would have helped to make the world feel more alive and persistant , also the fabled snow accumulation and radiant AI of NPCs feels really not present at least I haven't been able to trigger the reproduction of those features...

So from a score of 1 to 10 I give a 7.5 score to the game .... for me Morrowind reached 9 and Oblivion 7 no game gets the 10 couse they can always improve ...

I think the UI is my biggest gripe. It really blows for PCs. Give me the old Olivion or Morrowind UI over this any day. The 3D pictures are cool when I first get some new item, but after that I never look at it as I'm focued on this little spin wheel interface.

Second would be companion pathing and ability to keep up with you. They need a "Summon Lost Companion" spell that teleports your companion to you. Seems unless I run on a totaly unobstructed path, my companion is left way behind me. I guess that is also why most people think that the spell that leads you around is broke.

Third would be the spell system and lack of spellmaking. I often feel like I'm playing Oblivion with the starter spells at level 40.

But really enjoying the game. I don't think I've ever finished any of the main quests in any TES game, but have 100s of hours playing each of them.

YEs actually something that shows your character when you dress it up bing able to zoom in the details of armours and stuff woudl be good , also a way to dress ur companions would be good and see what they actually have with them and what are their characteristics .... or at least be able to know from them since so you do nothave to guess out their armour or fight style .... also a better UI that is more imersive and less feeling like an Ipad scifi menu
