Bethesda should have waited until today to release Skyrim.
It's the beginning of the Year of the Dragon and not only would have been a more appropriate marketing time and not conflict with the memorial day of the World Wars I and II, but they would have had time to fix the game a little better (already) into update 1.4.

It comes right after the year of the miniature antimatter rat that inhales negative dark matter through its rectum. I have, thus far, been unable to determine precisely when that is, but it should be within the next 3.77 years. Or decades.

I like that it's the year of the dragon, because that means that my birthday (which is today) coincides with the advent of the year of my Chinese zodiac sign. Two coincidences in one; I'm 23 on the 23rd and my birthday is at the very start of my year; metacoincidence!
