2 Questions about skyrim

hey, iv been playing since release date (great f&^kn game!), and iv got around 40 hours played so far but i need some advice plz.

can i make weapons stronger ?.
iv just hit lvl20 and currently im using a one-handed sword that does 22 damage, and i have it enchanted to do some magica damage too. only thing is i dont like the sword though, its one of them curvy pirate looking swords. i just picked up a new random dungeon sword, and it looks cool and i want to use it, but it does 6 less damage(16) then the pirate sword im using now. is there any way to make a sword u own stronger(increase the damage), and if so can you do it yourself or have to pay someone to do it ??

i have one more question, iv dis-enchanted alot of items now and have a nice list of enchantments to pick from, but when i go and use the enchantment table and pick an item to enchant, most of the enchantments iv discovered cannot even be picked to use, and some items like my heavy armor boots have no options at all, how does all that work ?

What type of sword did you find? Is it steel, elven, glass? You can bring it to the grindstone at any blacksmith and if you have the proper materials(mined or bought from the smith) you can improve it. You can improve the weapon's damage even further if you choose the Smithing perk that specializes in that weapon type. So if it's a steel sword you can choose the steel Smithing perk and significantly increase stats on most steel gear. As far as enchanting goes, you can only put certain enchantments on certain items. You may just not have learned any enchantments for boots yet. Hope that helps

Pretty sure that's the gauldur blackblade, I think there's only one. Do you have Arcane Armourer? Its required for improving enchanted gear...

well what ever it was, i dis-enchanted it to learn the absorb health enchantment.
no, the arcane blacksmith perk is the next one im gonna unlock, when i can that is. it requires lvl60 in smithing, im at lvl 27 =[
is there a way to increase your smithing lvl through training ?, like the same way you pay to train in different forms of combat or magic ?
