Does armor affect magic in any way?

As the title sais, does armor affect magic in anyway as in does destruction magic do less damage or do spells cost more or take longer to cast?

According to one of the Wiki's, armor does not affect magic but there is no proof backing that, hence this thread.

I was wondering about this as well since that's how it worked in Oblivion. But I'd guess that it was removed in Skyrim.

There's nothing in game that indicates your spell effectiveness being reduced. And the point of Spell Effectiveness in Oblivion was to encourage pure mages to not wear armor, but in Skyrim the motivator for not using armor are the Stoneflesh type spells in Alteration.
