STRONGEST LMG Battlefield 3

What is the strongest (not BEST) LMG in Battlefield 3?

Is it the M60E4?

What is your opinion on which LMG is best?
For supression and general long range fights, the M249 with IR scope, Bipod and Ext. Mags.
For close quarters I use the M60E4 with Holographic, Grip and Ext. Mags.
