House of Horrors Quest

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 10:11 am

So I just completed the House of Horrors Quest, and I feel like Bethesda should have incorporated some way to stop the quest.. I wanted to be a good hero in the game, and yet I feel like I'm almost forced down a single path with some of these quests.. In order to complete them.
Also, I wanted to know if anyone has played further into the game after completing this quest, does the Daedric prince re appear and can you choose to stop being his champion? (I want to redeem myself).

Thanks,
Thevilln

P.s. I don't mind spoilers!

Oh my gosh, that quest scared me to death! I went into the house, and then when the house went demonic I freaked out, tried to escape, to no avail. When I was forced to kill the witch-hunter, I went downstairs, freaked out some more, and left the house and I am still trying to forget about it. I am just going to avoid it from here on, there is no way I am going to finish that quest. Kudos to you for finishing it though lol. According to a website, I really don't think that there is a way to be "the good guy in it." At least, it hasn't been discovered yet anyway.

Lol, best quest ever. Although I've been saying that a lot in my adventures in Skyrim.

To be on topic though, I don't believe there is.

Nope. No option except avoiding it or not following through with the next steps. I felt tricked, I genuinely wanted to help the guy.

So, you r saying you want to tell a Dadric Prince of Domination to not dominate the Priest of Boethia. Sounds a little silly to me, if you know a quest can only have on outcome such as this, dont do it.

Sure, don't do it and miss out on one of the best maces in the game. It's not really a karma based system it seems when it comes to daedric quests.

My hero is modeled after Conan.. So if that daedric prince tries to enslave me further I'm going to use his own mace and bash his skull in! TALOS!!

As far as I know, there's nothing forcing you to complete it.
However, between myself and another anonymous internet user, we've determined that
Spoiler
You have to kill the priest either way
. You can see it http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_House_of_Horrors(I actually wrote most of that walkthrough, incidentally)

You choose not to complete it to be the "good hero", easy. There's also a cannibalism quest that I accidentally started, as I don't support cannibalism I killed the cannibal who gave me the quest, I may have "failed" it but my character is still in good moral standing to me.
