xbox D-Pad Hotkey Fact!

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 1:23 pm

Just because I have seen COUNTLESS threads and posts about people saying they wish they could HOTKEY their D-Pad, here's a quick fact for ya.... You can.

Your left and right D-Pads are assignable (Even in the favorites menu) by simply holding the direction you want them to be bound to...

Example... Push Up to access the quick menu... Find what you want... Hold Left or Right... It assigns...
Also, you can do the same by pulling either one of your Triggers... So, technically you can bind 4 things quickly...

Just sayin'...

The Triggers are what you are currently equipping?

Yep. They will put whatever you want directly into the corresponding hand. While the Left and Right D-Pad will hold your back ups.

Too bad the D-Pad only lets you use 2 "hotkeys" instead of 7 or 8 like using a keyboard.

You can't bind the triggers, UP, DOWN, or any of the DIAGONALS, nor can you assign which hand you want the hotkey to use.

I find this whole portion just silly, because it's the one thing about the interface that is better when using a Mouse & keyboard setup; everything else is specifically designed for a controller.

Just sayin'...

I don't care to have that many bindings... So, not really a factor that I care about. Thank you for letting me know how a keyboard works though... Very helpful and pertinent to this post.

It's completely worthless.

I will have to go back into the menu anyway after I switched. Implemented so wrong.

Most people, I think, would quite like to have more than two hotkeys.

Should I make a condescending, insulting post, since I disagree with you? I'm not that much of a [censored]... So, not really a post that I would care about writing. Thank you for letting me know that you're an arrogant snob, though. Very helpful and pertinent to this thread.
