Greetings various lifeforms, I have ordered a Canteen online, the interior is lined with bee wax however, is it safe to drink from? Or will drinking from it cause me to die horribly?

I would say it would be prudent to engage in an activity called "cleaning". If you are applying hot water then chances are you're doing it correctly.

Good luck and may you have many a tasty drink in the near future.

Break open a thermometer and pour a little mercury in there, then swish it around. Should clean it right up. It's what mommy used to do.

The Norseman lined their drinking horns with it, so I'd say it's safe.

The Norseman also made blood brother pacts where they would slice their hands and then grasp each others hand letting the two open wounds meet. Quite sanitary right  ?

But really though, I wouldn't worry too much about the beeswax.

assuming it is real beeswax I see no harm in it, unless you have some weird allergy. Only risk is if they've put something other than beeswax in it, or added chemicals to the wax, that sort of thing, might be worth investigating further.

This forum really is not the place to ask such questions. It would be most prudent to ask the advice of a medical professional, and ask him out.

The beeswax shouldn't be harmful at all, unless you're allergic. Comb honey still contains the beeswax, and that's safe to eat.

I love comb honey.
