Hobo with a Shotgun

I don't normally make threads about specific movies, but this one deserves it.

What.

A.

Movie.

They don't make them like that... at all. Take your Taxi Driver revenge flick, apply a serious amount of ultraviolence, make the whole thing in technicolour, and you've got OTT, B-movie goodness.

To make this more of a universal topic, discuss your favourite modern-day B-movies here.

I'm pretty sure it was made in the US. It got a fair amount of press too.

According to Wiki, it is Canadian and was a 3 million dollar budget that got roughly 700K at the box office:

I'm going to buy 20 copies of the DVD. That'll get them at least, what? 40 dollers net?

Haven't watched it myself, but I have heard...things...from a friend.

My favorite B-movie(s) would be the Phantasm series. It isn't exactly modern though. :P

I saw that about a year ago. I couldn't believe it was made in 2010...it looks and feels like it was made in the '80s. :P

inb4 lock.

oh wait, I'm not the OP.

Yeah that movie was pretty bad, but I will give it this: I absolutely loved the part where the girl is gearing up and puts on 2 slap on bracelets. eff yes.

It was rather bad, but I doubt anyone thought it would be good.

The message they were sending was good.
But they could've put it together in a better way.
Also go Canada!

I guess it depends on what your definition of good is when it comes to movies.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I like grindhouse in general. Over-the-top is instant appeal. Also, The Plague stole the show, at least for me. Totally underused, I would have loved for them to have more involvement.

I enjoyed it also, but that doesn't mean it isn't a bad movie.

Would you guys consider Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow a B movie?

I felt like it was a Quentin Tarantino that had its soul ripped out. Just a straight abomination.
