Is there a companion that would act as a healer, using restoration spells on me, healing me when needed ?

Equipping a healing item to a mage type companion would make it heal me ? Anyone tried this ?

I haven't. But I don't think the AI would be inteligent enough to target you instead of an enemy in combat. Your companion might just start healing your enemies. I'm not 100% sure however.

AI's already so [censored] stupid... Why would you even ask this.

They can't even path around a rock... Or stairs or a ankle deep river.

Well [censored], you climb over one 4 foot rock and you don't see Lydia for 8 game hours...

I had one thing where I left my house in Breezeholme... Ran all the way to to Ivenguard(no clue spelling wherever you start High Horthrar crap) and noticed I didn't have Lydia the entire time. So I'm like great here's that bug, incoming reload save again.

I get the Fast Travel point just incase, got back to my house to drop some stuff in a chest and there she is stuck on the [censored] steps. I literally had to coddle her down the [censored] stairs, took me 20minutes. Because I tried "waiting for 3 days game time" and she was still [censored] stuck.

Hmmm....anyone has a good experience with mage companions ? Any healing from them ?
